Work was slow, yesterday, which was great. The gym was fun. Had an awesome workout, and got to the treadmill and elliptical (damned knees) and got to watch the after-job bodybuilders show up. It was funny, because I was sitting there running, saw one walk by, with that “if I were on ice and I slipped, I’d rip all my leg muscles” gait. Thinking to myself, “You know, if I poke him right *scrunch eyes* there *pointing*, I’d make him scream like a little girl.” It’s the double-edged sword of being a healer and a warrior, but I think I weather it pretty well. And I got to see the really hot military guy that shows up (haven’t figured out which branch he’s in, but he’s got the marine walk, so I figure at least MP). And he kept picking machines near me. Prrrrrrrrrrrr.

Anyway, on the healing thread…wire_mother, I suggest reading the section of Gray’s Anatomy regarding the nerve and circulatory systems. Overlay that with with an Accupressure chart and you’ll see that quite a few of those intersect. On top of that, take the chart that you have for the different points of injury and cross reference. You’ll see a pretty good cross-section that was understood quite well, minus the modern understanding, back then. At the connection points of the limbs, are exposed points, aka pressure points where the nerves are on top, with the major veins and arteries (all bundled together). When hit, it’s pretty hard to stop the blood, plus to increase the chance of causing nerve damage. Email me, and I’ll try to get you some more info.
