Work was slow, yesterday, which was great. The gym was fun. Had an awesome workout, and got to the treadmill and elliptical (damned knees) and got to watch the after-job bodybuilders show up. It was funny, because I was sitting there running, saw one walk by, with that “if I were on ice and I slipped, I’d rip all my leg muscles” gait. Thinking to myself, “You know, if I poke him right *scrunch eyes* there *pointing*, I’d make him scream like a little girl.” It’s the double-edged sword of being a healer and a warrior, but I think I weather it pretty well. And I got to see the really hot military guy that shows up (haven’t figured out which branch he’s in, but he’s got the marine walk, so I figure at least MP). And he kept picking machines near me. Prrrrrrrrrrrr.

Anyway, on the healing thread…wire_mother, to start you off,

Ok, here are the various things I’ve gotten this season that I’ve been wanting to show off, and some I have to post for the sheer amusement factor:

My mum’s concept of an xmas joke (her admittance)

The punchline of that joke

Something useful from my Scotsman (aka Montieth) It’s vacuum sealed with a biner clip so I don’t forget it in the morning.

And here are the pictures of the Torc I picked out for initiation:

The Torc my Scotsman got me for my b-day/Mean Geimhridh:

And…..

the Poppet!!!!! pre-cat attack

Why yes, Christmas is good. I walk into my messy workroom, clean up a few things and notice a box on the floor, where the pappasan used to be. For some odd reason I open it up. Lots of odds and ends, my Anglo-saxon pocket primer, and….*drum roll please* my reading glasses!!!!! Oh yeah, and my cardholder with the really hot sheriff’s number in it. So, now I can see both near and far, as my backseat movie watching glasses are in my car, and my reading glasses can now reside in my computer case again. Yippee!!!!

Happiest of holidays to all my friends. I know I missed one, that was early in November, but you were all in my thoughts. And for my boys overseas, you are in my thoughts daily. I will never forget about you.

And the bastards that get to run up to Germany *raspberry* in your direction for going without me!

Scorpio for this week:

A few years ago East Timor was described as an “unimaginable, apocalyptic ruin” by UN peacekeepers. More than 200,000 people had died during a 25-year struggle to separate from Indonesia. But after finally gaining its independence, the new nation is now prospering in peace. With this as your inspiration, Scorpio, identify the most intractable and painful problem in your life. Now imagine that in the next ten months, you will transform it as dramatically as the people of East Timor did theirs.

I think I’m already on track with that one. Though, what I’m going to have to patch up afterwards is something to be discovered.
