Since I was too busy this week –

Scorpio (October 23-November 21)

Maybe you shouldn’t mend your supposedly “evil” ways if your “evil” ways are about to mutate into a fascinating new approach to goodness. Maybe the very quality that has threatened to cause your downfall has now become the key to your upgrade. And maybe the thing that has made you most nervous about yourself about yourself will soon start ripening into a beautiful asset that will activate reserves of life energy you didn’t know you could have at your disposal.

I can go with that. I see things improving immensely already. In fact, my shoulders are starting to return to actual muscle, and my flu/cold is going bye bye.

Scorpio (October 23-November 21)

The world is once again falling deeply in love with you. Let’s hope that on this occasion (unlike what happened the last two times) you will accept its adoration in the spirit in which it’s given. Let’s hope that if the world offers you the moon, the dawn, and the breeze, you won’t reject these gifts and say that what you really wanted was a comet, the sunset, and a pie in the sky. There would be nothing sadder than to see the world suffer yet another case of unrequited love.

Well, this time around I’m paying attention and trying to go with the flow instead of going against it. Yes, it’s moving faster than I want it to, but not to the extent that I can’t really keep up with it. And honestly, I’ll take the moon, the dawn and the breeze over the comet, the sunset and a pie anyday. I’d like the simpler things, especially the things that happen on schedule and regularly (has something to do with wanting the structure of a schedule).

Scorpio (October 23-November 21)

Founding Father Benjamin Franklin said that the U.S. Constitution “only gives people the right to pursue happiness. You have to catch it yourself.” That’s a good reminder for you, Scorpio, as you enter a phase when you’ll probably have more success than usual if you hunt for pleasure, joy, and bliss. I suggest that you draw up an appropriate strategy to employ during the coming weeks. Start by creating a list of at least three sources of delight with which you want to commune. Then write descriptions of how you’re going to increase and expand their presence in your life.

Several of the 3 things will have to be a private entry due to public issues 😀

But happiness is on the way, I just need to figure my schedule so I’m not so fucking exhausted. Skipped training this week due to being tired and needing sleep. Gonna start working on that on Sunday.

Since I didn’t want to block up a friend’s journal with this, particularly since I don’t like the band…

POS issued an embargo against the US, several years ago, because they didn’t like what the Bush admin put into place, in regards to Customs procedures. That protest grew into the writing of the song America (which, I’ll have more respect for them if they have the balls to play it in this country).

Now, I respect their right to free speech, and to criticize our government and what it does. I also respect their embargo – and kinda wish they’d maintained it, having suffered through a set of theirs (damned Danish cold weather and lack of alcohol). But the fact remains, they will still have to endure the customs procedures that started their whole hatred, regardless the change in political leadership and, IMO defeats the purpose of their original embargo leaving them to the level of hypocrites.

I wonder if I’d get into trouble for refusing to drive them, should I work a festival with them in the line-up? *fingers crossed I still have a minion if that ever happens*

Last night’s realization:

I pursue emotionally unavailable men, probably because I am emotionally unavailable for those who are overly emotional. Has something to do with trying to deal with my own emotional baggage. But I perpetuate the circle, and that leaves me feeling completely isolated and unsatisfied.

Scorpio (October 23-November 21)

In creating this oracle, I’ve borrowed words from the artist and poet Wolff Bowden. Please steal them from me and use them in cryptic, affectionate communiqués that will deepen your connection with someone who makes your heart sing. Here’s the first batch: “You belong to love as wheels belong to roads, as grapes belong to the blossoming of taste, as corn belongs to crows, as shadows belong to the ache of heat, as happiness belongs to the capricious pangs of the soul.” Here’s the second: “May the color blue behold your body while sun washes your shoulders near the window. May your lips refuse the kiss unless your heart is home. May euphoria find you in the place where you are lonely. May you light a billion candles with your mind.”

Mmmmmmmmmm, yummy.

 Scorpio (December 23-November 21)

If you use a cell phone, you have in your possession a metal called coltan, a component that’s essential to the phone’s function. Most of the world’s coltan comes from the Congo, and is mined by Rwandans who survived their country’s genocide in the 1990s. They often work for militias that sell coltan illegally to finance their military operations. It so happens that the land where this metal lies is also the home of the Mountain gorilla, an endangered species that is being decimated as the miners and militias kill them for food and savage their habitat. Keep this in mind the next time you call a friend. While you’re at it, Scorpio, use Google and your imagination to meditate on the origins of all the important resources in your life. It’s prime time to know more about their origins. You will benefit from getting familiar with the roots of whatever gives you power.

Yep, I’m late, oh well.  I think that this is a good idea, I’ve been exploring some roots, of late, particularly with some of my outlooks and opinions.  But it also comes down to weighing what is needed vs desired and where a compromise can be struck.  Of course, in that line, sometimes there are no compromises that can be found, and it becomes a fight between one and the other and what wins out.  Though, that requires a decision as to whether one wishes to lay down and die (aka accept), or go out fighting (aka working towards an outcome favourable to the individual/group).  I think that echoes throughout quite a few things in my life, of late.  Then again, it’s also what’s isolating me, as well (with some help that isn’t myself).

 Scorpio (October 23-November 21)

Studies suggest that the average person who reaches old age has been upset with some family member or another for a total of 30 years. Is that a standard you’d like to match, Scorpio? If not, you will have an excellent chance to reduce any inclination you might have to hold grudges in 2009. The coming months will bring you ripe opportunities to dissolve tensions between you and your kin. You will also be more skilled than usual at navigating your way with grace and diplomacy through complications involving the home and domestic issues.

Well, given what I’m doing behind the scenes, it’s burying the hatchet with my brother.  Though, I think I forgave everything when he admitted that his oldest daughter is exactly like me, and told my Mum to not inform his wife of this fact.  But I do have to admit, I greatly appreciate the fact that he now understands where I come from, and actually believes in an idea that has come out of my head.
