Well, I’m tired. Spent last evening with the Work-Bitch, helping her photograph her bf’s concert. And let me just say that I have a new respect for this guy that I didn’t have before (thought he was an asshole). He plays a 14 piece drumset with dual bass heads and foot pedals. Screw the drum machine, this guy supplies it and is a drumming god! So, now that I know why she stays with him, I can’t make fun of her anymore. I’m quite glad that I stayed awake late enough and suffered through the shitty bands that I did, to see this. So, those of you who love metal (and I mean the stuff that actually requires talent, as opposed to just screaming incoherent lyrics into a microphone, while randomly banging on instruments), check out Shock Plate. I don’t know if they have a site up yet, but I do know they recently signed a recording contract that includes tour dates. So go see them, because I said so.

Scorpio for the week of June 5th:

“My dream last night informed me that if I hoped to compose an accurate horoscope for you, I’d have to go to the Outback Steakhouse near my home. Since I don’t eat red meat, I initially felt a bit irked. But I’ve learned over the years that it’s dumb to ignore a direct order from my dreams. I know, furthermore, that it’s not enough just to go through the motions: My dream wanted me to have the full Outback Steakhouse immersion experience. So I obeyed with an open heart, dropping all my vegetarian sensitivities as I devoured “The Mad Max,” described by the menu as “a serious burger for warriors only.” By the end of the meal, with my astrological charts spread before me, I’d intuited the advice you need: You should seek out encounters that are as unlike your usual inclinations as this one was for me.”

Compliments of Freewill Astrology

In other news, I passed my National Boards with more than flying colours. Thank you moonbird for your support! Celebration time with the Tea!

In other, other news, I got my hair cut. Took out another 7 inches from the 4 I took out at christmas. Looks good, feels nice, and my hair loves me again. It’ll be another 5ish years before my hair gets as long as it was previous, but it’s much more nice to me now since I got all that nasty broken stuff out. For those I usually see at brunch, I won’t be in attendance this week. With my new grove status, comes new grove responsibilities, so I will be in class. See you next week!

I never, ever thought I would say this:

This house does not have enough natural light, it’s too dark.

There, I said it. I’ve found I’m spending more time in the rooms that are open to the outside, aka the office and the front room. I believe that is one thing that is giving me a headache. Too much indoor and not enough outdoor. So, I’m going to find the windows that I can actually open, and open them. No A/C for the rest of today.

Edit: We need screens on the front of the house.
